What payment methods are supported?

Short answer

PlateTicket supports card payments online and cash at pickup. For online cards, US and international sellers use Stripe; Caribbean sellers use CXPay, since Stripe generally isn't available to merchants in places like Sint Maarten, Curaçao, and Aruba. You choose whether to absorb processing fees or pass them through transparently. Payment is collected up front when the customer orders, so you're paid before you cook.

Cards via Stripe (US/global)

Sellers in the US and most countries accept cards through Stripe at checkout, with payment collected on order.

CXPay for the Caribbean

Stripe often can't onboard Caribbean merchants, so PlateTicket supports CXPay for card acceptance in the region — see Caribbean payment options.

Cash and fee choice

Offer cash at pickup where you prefer, and choose to absorb or pass through card fees — no hidden add-ons.

Frequently asked questions

What payment methods does PlateTicket support?

Online card payments and cash at pickup. Card processing is handled by Stripe for US and international sellers and by CXPay for Caribbean sellers where Stripe isn't available. You can choose to absorb or pass through processing fees, and payment is collected up front at order time.

Can Caribbean sellers take card payments?

Yes. Because Stripe generally doesn't onboard merchants in islands like Sint Maarten, Curaçao, and Aruba, PlateTicket supports CXPay for card acceptance there, alongside cash at pickup. See Caribbean food payment options for details.

When are customers charged?

Up front, when they place the order — not at pickup. Collecting payment on order secures your revenue before you shop and cook and reduces no-shows. You can still offer cash at pickup for customers who prefer it.
